Recent Practice Highlights

Bankruptcy “I helped the owners of a popular Casa Grande restaurant, which has been in the community for decades, in reorganizing their personal and business financial affairs through a bankruptcy filing. We were able to streamline my clients’ finances so that the restaurant could retain its workers and continue in business. Not only were my clients very happy, but I too felt rewarded both professionally and personally, as I enjoy the food.”

Commercial Litigation “I helped a seed company recover contractual payments owed to it by a grower to which our client had advanced seed. The grower was being bought out by another entity and, during the buyout, my client stood in a long line for payment with numerous other creditors of the grower. We were able to move my client toward the front of the line so that my client could receive full payment before the funds ran out.”

Real Estate Litigation “I defended a leader of a grassroots group of homeowners who had voted in new CC&Rs for her subdivision’s homeowners association. The HOA sought to invalidate the new CC&Rs and sued my client for her activity in getting the new CC&Rs approved. We were successful in convincing the court that the new CC&Rs were valid and that our client had done nothing wrong.”

Employment Law “I helped resolve an employment dispute between family members in a local industrial business who had worked with each other since the business was formed. The dispute threatened to destroy the business and my client’s personal relationship with his relative, with whom my client had gone on weekend trips since childhood. Through numerous conferences, we were successful in facilitating a firm reconciliation, one where my client and his relative could again work with each other and – perhaps more importantly – continue to go on weekend trips together.”

Estate Controversy “We helped an elderly woman recover annuity monies that had been left to her by a relative whom she and her husband had cared for over an extended period of time. The relative’s adult children, who for years had had nothing to do with their parent, sought to claim the monies. We were able to ensure that the relative’s wishes were respected and that the monies were properly directed to our client.”
