Recent Practice Highlights

Real Estate “I successfully helped an out-of-state client who sold a parcel of land in Pinal County and carried the financing on the property. The purchaser defaulted on the loan, and we foreclosed the deed of trust and got the property back in our client’s name. The client did not have to travel to Arizona to deal with the matter and was extremely happy with the process and the result.”

Estate Planning “An elderly widow came into my office. Her late husband had handled all the family’s financial and property matters. I helped her understand and handle things on her own. We changed the titles on properties into her name and helped her establish her own estate plan, so that the properties would pass to her children and others upon her death, as she wanted. She told me I helped her find her way through the fog following the death of her husband.”

Business Law and Trust Administration “I helped a client establish a multi-million-dollar business and achieve two complex re-financings. He passed away after a long illness, and his children did not have the skills or desire to continue running the business. I helped them sell the company and resolve their father's trust and estate issues. I think he would have been pleased as to how the matter was handled.”

Real Estate “I represented a couple in the sale of their farm and adjacent land for more than $6 million.”

Adult Guardianship “I represented parents who were concerned that their disabled child, who was approaching the age of majority, would be unable to make decisions for himself. We were able to set up a guardianship for their child, having the parents appointed as guardians. The guardianship brought peace of mind to the parents.”

Real Estate and Estate Planning “I have helped numerous Canadian citizens who winter in Arizona ensure that their Arizona real property passes to their beneficiaries upon their death without the need for probate through the appropriate deeding mechanism.”
